Milestone: the shop redesign.

  • New Ruby Exchange section at the top of the shop menu: the currency pair alone — emerald 1.03 / 0.97, emerald block 9.27 / 8.73. One click to convert rubies in either direction.
  • The menu is reorganized and symmetric: Resources & Treasures, Building, and Farming & Food on one row; Combat & Tools, Decoration & Dyes, and Spawners on the next; Storage, Music, and Everything Else below. Resources & Treasures now holds every journey sellable (echo shards, nether star, beacon, heart of the sea, dragon breath) alongside the ores.
  • 311 dead listings that could be neither bought nor sold were removed, and the Magic and Misc sections are gone entirely — their few live items were relocated to fitting sections.
  • Every section lists its items cheapest to most expensive.
  • All listings are single-unit: prices are per one item and you choose the amount in the buy screen. Batch displays (per 4, per 9, per 32) are gone.
  • Closed purchase loopholes: filled buckets (a free iron bucket with extra steps), black and green dye, chains, plain firework rockets and trial keys can no longer be bought. The premium cosmetic firework stays purchasable. The recovery compass is removed from the shop entirely.
  • Behind the scenes: deploy verification now runs from a clean connection, which ends the false "deploy failed" alarms — everything those alarms hid (all of the above, plus yesterday's buy reprice) had in fact reached the server each time.
0.1m-R2
  • Behind the scenes: the changelog's intro paragraphs now match the site's design instead of rendering unstyled

Milestone: the economy update is complete. R47 reworked what things sell for; this release finishes the other half — every buy price re-anchored to measured income. 398 listings rise, nothing was lowered, and no sell price changed.

  • Buy prices were calibrated when top income was believed to be ~3,000/hr; measured income is ~7,400/hr, so the whole catalogue had become 2.5–5× cheaper in real playing time than intended.
  • Four mined materials rise to their measured gathering value: coal 4.80 → 15.03, redstone 3.20 → 6.16, lapis 6.60 → 11.45, obsidian 1.03 → 8.02. Crafted items follow their ingredients (torches, lamps, redstone devices), and storage blocks cost exactly 9× their material, so the block form can never undercut a raise.
  • Food is priced on the same scale as everything else: the nutrition coefficient rises from 0.25 to 0.60 (bread 2.75 → 6.60, cooked beef 5.20 → 12.48). The pantry is balanced, not subsidized.
  • Bulk stone can no longer be sold: granite, diorite, andesite, tuff, calcite, deepslate, soul soil and end stone, plus their 34 cut and polished forms. TNT drops 100% of its loot since 1.14, so blast mining produces these in unlimited volume — the same rule that already covers cobblestone. End stone was the real leak: ~15,000 blocks/hr of risk-free end busting at 0.16 paid ~2,400/hr. Masons remain the intended buyer for bulk stone.
  • Versioning note: letters are back. The line ran 0.1a–0.1k in June, the 0.1l-RC series was absorbed into R1 by the old promotion rule, and R1–R48 were letterless revisions. Milestone releases carry letters from here on; -R revisions attach to them.
0.1-R48
  • Behind the scenes: the deploy checker treats an empty read-back as 'could not verify', never as missing files
0.1-R47

Economy rework: income scales with risk and attention, not automation.

  • AFK-farmable output is no longer sellable to the shop: crops, wood, mob-grinder drops, iron-farm ingots, wool, dyes, and everything craftable from them (913 listings). All of it can still be bought from the shop, sold to villagers, and traded between players.
  • The /sell command is unaffected — it opens the shop's sell screen as always. What was removed is an unused parallel sell pathway from another plugin that carried its own uncalibrated default prices, plus spawner storage payouts.
  • Mining income now follows the risk ladder: ancient debris sells at 495, netherite scrap at 500, netherite ingots at 2,000. Netherite mining out-earns diamond mining, consistent with its exposure: no Fortune scaling, lava, and full-inventory risk.
  • Echo shards sell at 500 (previously 270). An ancient city raid now pays between diamond mining and netherite mining per hour.
  • Diamond is unchanged at 33.
  • Vindicators and evokers drop books instead of emeralds. Raid farms remain effective for totems, XP and gear, but no longer generate currency unattended.
  • Behind the scenes: fixed a deploy check that misreported connection failures as missing files, and a changelog publisher bug that truncated multi-line entries. If a changelog line is unclear, report it.
0.1-R46
  • Balance groundwork for the economy update: we worked out the most rubies per hour a maxed villager trading hall can possibly produce (7,200 — limited by how fast a human can click trades) and locked it in as the yardstick that mining incomes are balanced against. No prices changed in this build.
0.1-R45
  • Cover every WildRTP alias, not just /rtp
0.1-R44
  • Random teleport now costs 100 rubies too
0.1-R43
  • Spawn is now locked down against all damage to the build. Nothing can break, place, or blow up blocks there anymore — not players, not creepers, TNT, fire, enderman grief, or wither skulls (including ones that travel through the End portal, which is what prompted this). Paintings and item frames are protected too
  • PvP is off at spawn
  • Everything you actually need there still works: moving around, pressing buttons, and using your ender chest — you just can't damage the place
0.1-R42
  • New players now land inside the spawn platform. First-time joins were being scattered onto the ground below or the roof on top, because the game was dropping them at the vanilla world spawn and hunting for a "safe" block. They now use the exact spawn point everyone else gets from /spawn
0.1-R41
  • Admins pay teleport costs too. Nobody is exempt from the economy — the fees apply to everyone equally, ops included. If you can't afford the trip, you walk like everyone else
  • /spawn stays free — the get-unstuck safety net, so a player with zero rubies is never stranded (a command you can't afford is blocked, and /spawn is the one people fall back on when lost or broke)
  • New players start with 100 rubies — a small welcome grant to get going: a teleport or a few blocks from the shop
0.1-R40
  • Going out now beats sitting still. A riskless villager trading hall was quietly out-earning actual mining, which is backwards. Diamonds now sell for 33 (was 15) and netherite ingots for 600 (was 450), so maxed mining and netherite runs pay more than clicking trades again. Your diamonds and netherite are worth more now, not less
  • Echo shards come down from 450 to 270. A full ancient-city raid is still the best money per hour of anything — but echo shards were overpriced for a mostly-decorative item, and because ancient cities are finite, paying well for them can never flood the economy
  • Teleporting now costs 100 rubies — /tpa, /tpahere, /home, /back, /warp. Mining and villager halls mint currency; fast travel is the thing everyone does over and over, so it's where the money drains back out. Walking is always free
0.1-R39
  • Restore the Ruby rename and revert the elytra hotbar icon to vanilla
0.1-R38
  • Three money printers the detector couldn't see, and a rule so it can't happen again
0.1-R37
  • Gunpowder and TNT are no longer buyable; fireworks become the one premium item
0.1-R36
  • Stop selling things you're supposed to earn by killing for them
0.1-R35
  • A carrot farm was quietly out-earning a villager trading hall. Fully AFK, ~1,900 rubies an hour — more than someone sat there clicking trades all day. Meanwhile a sugar cane farm earned 1/hr. Same effort, 1,900x apart, for no reason
  • Farm output is now priced by how fast you can farm it. Every farm earns roughly the same now, and none of them beat actually going out and doing something. Carrots, potatoes, wheat and beetroot come down a lot. Sugar cane, bamboo, melon, paper, eggs and honey go back UP — R34 had over-punished those, because they happened to be ingredients in something and got caught by the anti-laundering rule
  • Farms are now the bottom of the income ladder, as intended. Diamond mining (~3,000/hr) > villager halls (~1,550/hr) > deep dark raids (~1,350/hr) > netherite (~450/hr) > any farm (~150/hr max). Risk and effort pay; machines don't
  • A villager will now always pay you more than the shop does. The shop was out-bidding villagers on carrots, which is backwards — the shop buys infinitely, villagers restock slowly, so the shop was an unlimited money faucet for crop farms
  • Your farms still work and still make money — just as a steady trickle rather than a jackpot. Food prices to *buy* are unchanged
  • Behind the scenes: the nightly sync now checks the server's shop prices against the repo. Copper and redstone blocks had silently reverted to being buyable on the live server days ago and nothing caught it
0.1-R34
  • Name tags were printing money. They quietly became craftable in 26.2 (one iron nugget + one paper) but were still selling at their old treasure price of 0.90. An iron farm makes about 4,500 nuggets an hour — that was roughly 4,000 rubies an hour, fully AFK, beating maxed-out diamond mining. Now 0.006
  • The shop no longer sells anything it couldn't have crafted from its own shelves. It never sold you copper ingots, but it happily sold copper slabs, doors and armour — which was just selling you copper the long way round. 187 items are gone from the buy side on that rule: all copper, iron gear (anvils, cauldrons, buckets, shears, hoppers), rails and minecarts, pistons and observers, brewing stands and lecterns, books and bookshelves, leather armour, bows and arrows. You can still craft and sell all of it — you just can't buy your way past the materials any more
  • Crafting can't multiply what something is worth. A lectern sold for 3.24 but was craftable from 0.069 of farmed wood — a 47x laundering vector. 368 sell prices came down to match what their ingredients are actually worth
  • Tree farms now count as farms. Wooden goods are priced like any other farm output, so fence gates, doors and sticks no longer out-earn the wood they're made of
  • Kelp cost less at the shop than a villager paid for it — buy it, trade it, cash the emerald, repeat. Fixed
  • Every price is now checked by a detector that models every way one thing turns into another — buying, selling, crafting, uncrafting, smelting, and villager trades — and hunts for anything worth more than it costs to get. Run against the old shop, it found 20 money printers, the worst being copper blocks at +46.98 profit per craft, forever
  • Your rubies are safe and nothing you own changed value. An emerald is still exactly one ruby, diamonds still sell for 15, netherite for 450, echo shards for 450. Mining, raiding and villager halls all pay exactly what they did yesterday
0.1-R33
  • Poppies are Roses again — restored the classic rose texture
0.1-R32
  • Closed buy-side backdoors: copper, redstone and raw-metal blocks could be bought and uncrafted into materials the shop deliberately won't sell you (ingots, redstone, raw ore). If a material isn't buyable, none of its blocks are either now — the restriction holds across every form
0.1-R31
  • Restored 18 shop prices that had silently reverted: the shop plugin rewrites its own files on restart, and last night's automatic backup pulled the old values back over recent changes (glowstone, quartz, magma block, end stone, the mob heads, totem, dragon breath, ancient debris and several farm-buy prices are correct again)
  • Fixed the underlying cause so it can't recur — shop prices are now managed only from the update pipeline and never overwritten by the nightly backup
0.1-R30
  • Closed a copper money loop: weathered, exposed and waxed copper blocks were buyable cheaply, then scraped clean with an axe and uncrafted into 9 copper ingots for profit — all copper block variants now cost the same as a plain copper block
0.1-R29
  • Buy-availability cleanup: netherite scrap and copper ingots can no longer be bought (no metal or progression material is buyable — you mine them), and mob kill-drops (leather, string, feather, ink, spider eye, magma cream, rabbit foot) are now consistently earn-only instead of half-buyable
  • Closed two crafting money printers: golden apples and hoppers can no longer be crafted from cheap farmed gold/iron and sold at a markup
0.1-R28
  • Dimension difficulty now shows in prices: things you hand-mine in the Nether pay more (quartz, glowstone, magma blocks up ~50%; ancient debris jumps to 100), End gathering pays a little more, and the Overworld stays the baseline
  • This only applies to what you actually gather by hand — Nether farm drops (blaze rods, ghast tears, wart) stay cheap, because once your farm is built the danger is gone
0.1-R27
  • Sell prices now factor in usefulness, not just rarity: echo shards drop from 1,000 to 450 (about one netherite ingot) — still a great deep dark payday, but no longer double what mining pays
  • Low-use trophies rebalanced to match what they actually do: dragon head 80, piglin banner pattern 50, other banner patterns and music discs 10–15, recovery compass 10 — cool to own, no longer a fortune to sell
  • Genuinely useful gear, tools and materials keep their full value — the deep dark and netherite mining now sit shoulder to shoulder as the top money
0.1-R26
  • Mob heads normalized: skeleton skulls, zombie/creeper/piglin heads now sell for 1 (were 2.5–6) — charged-creeper head hunting with storm-channeling tridents was quietly one of the best incomes on the server
  • Wither skeleton skulls stay at 0.30 (fortress farms make them a commodity), dragon heads keep their trophy price — heads are now priced by how fast you can farm them, not how cool they look
0.1-R25
  • Full quantity audit of all 1,596 shop listings: fixed six batch-size pricing slips — cane/kelp/bamboo/melon buy prices were sized for their old smaller batches, sculk veins sold per-item on a 4-batch, and the totem's announced 0.25 price is restored after being caught by a blanket cap
0.1-R24
  • Hotfix for the nutrition pricing: batch-sold foods (bread per 16, meats per 8, pies per 4) briefly had per-item prices applied to whole batches, making them up to 16× too cheap — all batches now carry their correct nutrition value
0.1-R23
  • Food is now priced by nutrition: every prepared food's buy and sell price scales with the hunger + saturation it restores — steak and porkchop top the meats (5.20), rabbit stew is the premium meal (5.50), bread and baked potatoes are the honest staples (2.75)
  • Cake normalized from 15 to 4.20 under the same formula; raw crops stay at crop prices and golden foods remain craft-only
0.1-R22
  • Restored the 10-second chunk unload grace period (reverting the instant-unload experiment)
0.1-R21
  • Chunks now unload immediately when the last player leaves (unload delay 10s -> 0)
0.1-R20
  • The journey is the reward: items whose acquisition is the point can no longer be bought — potions, tipped arrows, enchanted books, shulker boxes, ender chests, conduits, respawn anchors, lodestones and all golden foods must now be earned the way Minecraft intended
  • Prepared food now costs real money to buy (cooked meals 3–5, cake 15) — the shop is an emergency pantry, not a kitchen; raw crops stay cheap and your farms and villagers remain the proper way to eat
  • Firework rockets stay purchasable — they're consumable, they explode, and you paid for the elytra yourself
0.1-R19
  • Ore blocks can no longer be bought from the shop — Fortune III turned purchasable diamond and lapis ores into money printers (buy the ore, mine it, profit); ores are now mine-only like the materials inside them
0.1-R18
  • The risk premium widens: diamonds sell for 15, netherite ingots 450 (scrap 100), echo shards 1,000 — dangerous, attentive play now clearly out-earns even a fully-automated 100-villager trading empire
  • All spawner prices doubled (top tier now ~406,000) to keep the endgame a real journey at the new income levels
0.1-R17
  • Closed the last comfortable-money routes: ominous bottles, enchanted golden apples (our craftable recipe made gold farms a god-apple press), Mojang banner patterns, wolf armor, turtle helmets, beacons and nautilus armors all repriced to match their farmable sources
  • Danger loot keeps its value: maces, trial keys, bastion patterns, dragon heads, horse armors and netherite gear are untouched — combat and exploration remain the way to get rich
0.1-R16
  • Risk now rules the economy: diamonds sell for 10 and netherite ingots for 300 — a dedicated miner clearly out-earns even the largest trading hall
  • Echo shards sell for 750: ancient city raids (3,000–6,000 per city) are the best quick money in the game, carried by the one treasure that can never be farmed
  • Sculk items repriced for farmability — catalysts can grow shriekers and sensors, so shriekers now sell for 1, sensors 0.20, catalysts 5
0.1-R15
  • Reverted the deep dark repricing from 0.1-R14 — all ancient city loot keeps its original prices (sculk shriekers 507.61, catalysts 126.90, and the rest unchanged from the redenomination)
  • Ancient city raiding remains the best quick money on the server: a single raid's shriekers alone are worth ~5,000–7,600
0.1-R14
  • Danger pays: ancient city loot is now the best quick money on the server — echo shards sell for 200, sculk shriekers 150, catalysts 50, disc fragments 75; a full city raid is worth roughly 2,500–3,500, well above an hour of mining
  • Armor trim templates deliberately sell for only 30 — they can be duplicated with 7 diamonds, so higher prices would print money
  • Risk now sets the price ladder: deep dark raiding > netherite mining > diamond mining > trading halls > farms
0.1-R13
  • Diamonds now sell for 5.00 (45 per 9-batch) — calibrated for maxed Fortune III miners: a 100-villager trading hall equals a ~3h/day mining habit
  • Netherite ingots raised to 150 (blocks 1,350) to keep the rare-ore ladder proportional
  • Crafted basic gear (wooden/stone/iron/golden/leather/chainmail tools and armor, bows, shields) now sells for at most 0.10 — closing the "craft farmed iron into pickaxes" laundering route
0.1-R12
  • Diamonds now sell for 4.00 (36 per 9-batch) — a dedicated mining session rivals a 25-villager trading hall; bigger halls pull ahead
  • Spawner storage now sells at exact shop prices (no separate price list)
  • Remaining mob drops flattened to match the AFK income policy
0.1-R11
  • Income rework: active play now out-earns AFK farms — villager trading halls are the best money on the server, followed by diamond mining
  • Flattened AFK farm payouts: iron, gold, coal, slime, prismarine/guardian loot, totems, wither skulls and the nether star all sell for a fraction of before
  • Purchased SmartSpawner income is unchanged — spawners keep their value
0.1-R10
  • Duper-proofing: TNT, carpets, rails, scaffolding, stained glass, glass panes and the sandstone family can no longer be sold (historically dupable blocks and their crafted derivatives — same policy as sand and gravel)
  • Raid and guardian farm payouts rebalanced: totems now sell for 2, prismarine drops and sea lanterns brought in line with other farm loot
0.1-R9
  • Closed the villager arbitrage on the Ruby Standard: raised shop buy prices of ~75 cheap items that villagers accept (paper, sugar cane, kelp, stone family, dyes, boats, logs, planks, bamboo…) so buying from the shop and trading to a discounted villager can never profit
  • Earning rubies by gathering and trading with villagers is untouched — that's the intended vanilla economy, and villagers still pay better than the shop
0.1-R8
  • The Ruby Standard: the entire economy is redenominated so 1 ruby (the item) equals 1 ruby (the currency) — every price divided by 9.85, all relative values preserved
  • Rubies are now exchangeable at the shop like a real currency: it buys your rubies at 0.97 and sells them at 1.03
  • Villager trading now always beats the shop — everything a villager sells is priced so a maxed-out, cure-discounted villager is the best merchant on the server
  • Cheap items now trade in batches (for example sugar cane per 32) so prices stay meaningful at the new scale
  • Player balances were intentionally left untouched
0.1-R7
  • Adjusted mob head sell prices: wither skeleton skull 100, skeleton skull and zombie head 60 (no wither spawner is sold, so head-hunting stays rewarding)
0.1-R6
  • Second full shop audit: fixed several sell prices that were 16×/4×/3× lower than intended (gunpowder, rotten flesh, feather, pumpkin, egg, glass bottle now at their announced values)
  • Closed brick-family crafting loops (slabs/stairs/walls no longer sell for more than the blocks they're cut from)
  • Future-proofed sells against automated farms and dupers: wool, carpets, concrete, ink sacs, barter items and mob heads rebalanced; concrete powder and anvils are no longer sellable (same policy as sand and gravel)
0.1-R5
  • Shrunk the world border from ±50,000 to ±11,000 blocks — a 22k×22k world with a 1k undiscovered frontier ring
0.1-R4
  • Added twinkling stars to the night sky (texture pack)
0.1-R3
  • Full economy audit of all 1,596 shop listings (sell = 25% of buy rule preserved)
  • Closed 10 infinite money loops: storage blocks now cost exactly 9× their material, nuggets and raw ores are sell-only, clay→brick smelting no longer profits
  • Farm-aware pricing: reduced sell prices for AFK-farmable items (iron, gold, gunpowder, ghast tears, eggs, pumpkins, snowballs, scutes, poisonous potatoes)
  • Gravel, red sand and the dragon egg can no longer be sold (same duper policy as sand)
  • Enchanted books, potions and tipped arrows are now buy-only
  • SmartSpawner sell prices aligned with the shop (was paying up to 10× shop value)
  • Nether star sell value raised 350 → 800; diamond/emerald/netherite blocks now sell for exactly 9× their gem
0.1-R2
  • Removed instant nether portal access for admins
  • Removed instant /tpa teleport for admins
0.1-R1
  • Made rain and snow effect more subtle
  • Added 25 unique carved pumpkin designs

0.1d
  • Returned instant leaf decay
0.1c
  • Fixed an issue with Creepers always dropping XP (even when they're not killed by a player)
0.1b
  • Made Phantoms significantly rarer by increasing the following settings ×10:
  • Player Insomnia Start Ticks: 72000 → 720000 — players must now stay awake for 10 hours (instead of 1 hour) before phantoms can even start spawning
  • Phantom Spawn Attempt Min/Max Seconds: 60/119 → 600/1190 — once a player becomes insomniac, the server waits much longer between phantom spawn attempts (roughly 10× less frequent)
0.1a
  • Added back Dynamic Lights

Custom Tweaks

Lots of small gameplay tweaks sprinkled throughout — nothing game-breaking, just little quality-of-life changes.

Vanilla+ Changes

Everything on this server that differs from vanilla Minecraft, read straight from the live datapacks, resource pack and plugin configs — so anything we switch off disappears from this list too.

What's different from vanilla

Gameplay

  • Craftable god applesEnchanted golden apples can be crafted again: 8 gold blocks around an apple.
  • Dragon dropsEvery ender dragon kill drops an egg and an elytra, so the fight stays worth repeating.
  • Bats drop membranesPhantom membranes come from bats too — elytra repair without waiting for phantoms.
  • Silence mobsName a mob “Silence Me” to mute it. Perfect for farms and pets.
  • Storm channelingChanneling tridents work in any weather, not only during thunderstorms.
  • Smooth night skippingSleeping fast-forwards the night smoothly instead of snapping to morning.
  • All recipes unlockedYour recipe book is fully unlocked on first join — no hunting for unlocks.
  • No anvil cost limitThe “too expensive” anvil wall is gone; gear can always be repaired and enchanted.

Quality of life

  • Item finder/finditem searches nearby containers and points you at what you are looking for.
  • Double doorsDouble doors open and close together.
  • Better harvestingRight-click a mature crop to harvest and replant it in one action.
  • Chest sortingSort any container from its inventory screen.
  • Invisible item framesItem frames can be made invisible for clean builds.
  • Player heads/heads gives access to a large decorative head library.
  • XP bottlingBottle your experience and carry it with you.

Looks

  • Round sun and moonThe sun and every moon phase are round instead of square.
  • Twinkling starsThe night sky shimmers — the stars gently twinkle instead of sitting static.
  • Subtle rain and snowVanilla Tweaks unobtrusive weather — rain and snow no longer wash out the view.
  • Poppies are rosesPoppies render as roses again, the way they did before 1.7.
  • Rubies, not emeraldsThe currency is reskinned end to end: ruby ore, ruby blocks and the ruby item.
  • Carved pumpkin facesThe Vanilla Tweaks pumpkin carving contest winners replace the single vanilla face.

New items & enchantments

  • SicklesHarvest a whole area of crops in one swing, in every tool tier.
  • Backpacks & pouchesPortable storage crafted from a shulker box or leather.
  • ScrollsHome, death and unstable scrolls for getting around. (Spawn and lodestone scrolls are switched off here.)
  • Ancient tomesThree tiers of tome that carry the custom enchantments below.
  • Ten custom enchantmentsAngel, Grappling Hook, Hell Bent, Leafchopper, Rake, Seeding, Soulbound, Take Off, Unbreakable and Wings.
  • Handy toolsTrowel, file, north compass, papyrus scroll, slime bucket and a reinforced elytra.
